Cleveland 10-4 Losers to Senators
The Washington Senators topped the Cleveland Guardians, 10-4, at Griffith Stadium. Washington right fielder Tommy Holmes was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Hank Borowy was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was 29-year old left-handed pitcher Mickey Harris. The Guardians drop to 8-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1946 season.

Hank Borowy contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Washington get the win.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Holmes.
