New York center fielder Goody Rosen contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Rosen, who is tied for 5th in the NL in hits with 25, went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Giants. The win puts New York at 13-6.

New York left fielder Dick Wakefield helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"I like our moxie," said Giants manager Mel Ott.
