Red Sox Rally Late to Nip Browns
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

Nels Potter, who is tied for 5th in the AL in innings pitched with 44.1, was locked in. The right-hander led the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win against the St. Louis Browns at Fenway Park. Potter, now 3-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs.

The decisive blow was delivered by Charlie Keller in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Emil Kush to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was rocking at the end," Potter said.

The win puts Boston at 7-15.
