The Cleveland Guardians topped the Philadelphia Athletics, 10-1, at Shibe Park. Cleveland center fielder Hoot Evers was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Johnny Sain. His record now stands at 3-2.
