Pat Seerey was instrumental in his team's 9-6 triumph over the Philadelphia Athletics. The right fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the New York Yankees. Ernie White earned the save, his 2nd, for the Yankees. The win has New York at 2-1.
