Dietrich Baffles Boston Batters
|
Bill Dietrich was in a mood to talk following the New York Giants contest against the Boston Braves, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Braves, 1-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Dietrich said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Boston on a 7-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 6 strikeouts.
In 2 starts this season, Dietrich has notched a 2-0 record and a 1.71 ERA.
