Philadelphia Phillies starter Al Benton turned in a top-notch performance against the Cincinnati Reds at Shibe Park. The result was a win for the Phillies, 6-1. Cincinnati now is 13-20.

The Phillies got a big at-bat from center fielder Wally Judnich. For the game, Judnich went 1-4 with a triple. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Judnich.
