Trucks Finds Groove in 7-1 New York Triumph
|
The New York Yankees topped the Cleveland Guardians, 7-1. Virgil Trucks, who is tied for 4th in the AL in strikeouts with 42, engineered a dominant performance. The Yankees saw their record improve to 18-14.
Trucks was dominant for New York. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts. He threw 131 pitches over 9 innings in the contest.
