Pittsburgh Pirates starter Johnny Schmitz kept the New York Giants hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The win puts the Pirates at 18-15, while the Giants drop to 19-14.

With two out in the top of the fourth, Johnny Wyrostek put Pittsburgh in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Pirates went on to win the ballgame.

"I'd like to pitch a complete game every time," said Schmitz.
