Streaking White Sox Win Another One, 6-2
|
Chicago White Sox starter Frank Papish hurled his team past the Philadelphia Athletics, 6-2. Chicago pitcher Joe Krakauskas got the win. He's now 3-1. Eddie Smith was tagged with the loss. Philadelphia, at 18-20, has lost 4 straight.
Stan Musial, who is tied for 4th in the AL in stolen bases with 3, helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I really like what we did out there today," Musial said after the game.
