White Sox Nudge Past Red Sox, 7-6
The White Sox grabbed a win, 7-6, at Fenway Park, overcoming a fine effort from Boston pitcher Red Munger. Munger went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Reliever Sheldon Jones picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Tom Ferrick took the loss. The victory gives Chicago a record of 24-21.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Lonny Frey to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the White Sox on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Frey.
