White Sox Roll to 9-1 Win Over Browns
The Chicago White Sox converted a terrific effort from starter Joe Dobson into a win over the St. Louis Browns at Sportsmans Park. The White Sox won the game by a final score of 9-1. Dobson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Chicago goes to 2-2.

Dom DiMaggio was 4 for 6 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Chicago. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Bob Feller. It was his 8th hit of the season.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Dobson.
