Buster Adams was a major contributor to the 9-4 Pittsburgh win over Cincinnati. The Pirates center fielder was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win has Pittsburgh at 6-0.

Joe Grace had a big 2-run triple for the Pirates in the bottom of the first inning. With Pittsburgh leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Al Brazle and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pirates ahead, 3-0.

"The vibe's good," said Pittsburgh manager Frankie Frisch. "We've got to keep it going."
