Niggeling Sends Philadelphia Bats to Deep Freeze
|
Johnny Niggeling was in a mood to talk following the New York Giants contest against the Philadelphia Phillies, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Phillies, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Niggeling said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Philadelphia on a 6-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 1 strikeout.
