The St. Louis Cardinals topped the Cincinnati Reds, 7-2, in NL action at Crosley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of St. Louis pitcher Johnny Rigney. After losing, Cincinnati is 2-7.
The fans who filled the stands at Crosley Field to watch the NL action seemed to enjoy the game.
"Johnny's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Eddie Dyer, the Cardinals manager.
