Slumping Reds Lose 10th Straight
Pittsburgh Pirates starter Schoolboy Rowe pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Reds at Crosley Field, leading the Pirates to victory, 3-2. Cincinnati, now 2-11, continues its dreadful start.

Skippy Roberge had a direct impact on the outcome. Roberge contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-2.

"I've never been a good loser," admitted losing manager Bill McKechnie, before walking out on reporters.
