Ferriss Pitches 4-0 Shutout for Detroit

Dave Ferriss of the Detroit Tigers was one tough customer on the hill, blanking the St. Louis Browns, 4-0, on 6 hits.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said St. Louis manager Luke Sewell after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."
The 24-year-old Tigers right-hander registered 2 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks and 6 hits.
